Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage is a technique designed to access specific areas of sub-acute and chronic pain. Deep tissue, commonly confused with deep pressure, is more about targeting specific muscles, than it is about "deep" pressure. During massage I use quality oil to glide across the skin, working to soften superficial layers before sinking into deeper muscle layers with my palms, thumbs, knuckles, forearms and elbows. Often the process of sinking deep into a problem area takes patience and likely more than one session. The result is better range of motion, increased flexibility, and decreased pain over time.

A full body massage will always include Swedish Massage as not all areas of the body can receive Deep Tissue due to time. Swedish Massage is a full body relaxation technique that brings vitality to overtaxed bodies and weakened circulation.

Keeping the body relaxed as well as steady breathing is key in order to experience the best results when receiving any type of massage. Hot stones and cupping are available for this massage.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the function of the cranial sacral system-comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, your practitioner, Ida, can release restrictions in the craniosacral system, as well as many other systems of the body. CST has also been shown to help with the physical components related to somatic conditions like post traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, fatigue, immune disorders, post surgical dysfunction, ect.

(Cranial can be blended into any massage session.)

Face Massage

This massage is focused on the tension held in your face, jaw, scalp, occiput, neck, and shoulder area. For this massage I will use Lux Oil from Meadowsweet Herbs on your face, scalp, and neck. This simple recipe is perfect for delicate skin, it won't clog your pores, and it's wonderful for hair growth and scalp health. Feedback from clients say it can be very effective for relieving pressure and congestion from seasonal allergies, tension head aches, and tmj jaw pain. (hot towel may be applied to remove oil at the end)
